The Club maintains a volunteer-run lapidary shop located in the Watershed PDX building at 5040 SE Milwaukie Ave in Portland, OR. Use of this space is for MHRC members only and the schedule changes depending on who volunteers, so be sure to check the online calendar and call the shop host to make sure they will be there.
Mt. Hood Rock Club hosts an annual gem show, find out more here:

Shop use is $10 a session. Please bring cash – exact change only!
We offer inexpensive slab cutting on the oil saws for an additional fee. Please bring small bills to pay exact change for this in addition to your session fee.
Club members volunteer at the shop to teach lapidary to beginners each week. If it’s your first time coming to the shop the host will happily show you the ropes!
Annual shop passes offer a great discount for enthusiastic shop users. Ask to purchase one at the next club meeting.
Please note: MHRC Lapidary Shop was founded and is operated as a learning center for hobbyists. Most of our equipment has been acquired by donation and is not suitable for mass production or commercial work. Please respect our equipment, our gracious volunteer hosts and fellow guests. Ideas and suggestions for improvement are always welcome!
See the club calendar for the shop schedule and Shop Host contact information. This schedule is subject to occasional changes since our shop is volunteer run.
